EWIEWI CommunitiesMembership Benefits

By Wendy Cowley
2007-2008 Corporate President

I really love our new tag line "EWI: A Perfect Fit for Connections, Careers and Communities," and I'm pleased to see it being used in many of our Chapter publications.

In the next few issues of the PULSE newsletter, I am going to share with you what each piece of that means to me. In this issue, I would like to talk about connections.

Connection, as defined by the American Heritage Directory, is the act of connecting; one that connects; a link; an association or relationship. This certainly defines EWI and is a critical component of the value proposition formembership in EWI. We facilitate building connections through:

  • The International Directory- an online directory of over 2,800 firms available 24/7. The directory is updated continuously throughout the year, and once a quarter we send a new CD to each Chapter President for use in distributing directory information to Chapter members.

  • Networking opportunities at the local and Corporate levels. Chapters host monthly meetings where members can network locally, and at the Corporate level there are opportunities to build relationships by attending Spring Conferences and the annual Leadership Conference.

  • Opportunities for member firms to promote themselves by hosting Firm Nights at their Chapter meetings. A Firm Night provides a member firm the opportunity to showcase its company to other members of the Chapter and guests.

  • Partnership opportunities with EWI at the Corporate level, which can garner national and international recognition. Corporate sponsor and partnership information can be found on our website at executivewomen.org.

I encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities available to build connections through EWI. They will help ensure that you get the most value from your membership.
